Springfield's Resident Realtors

Amanda Searle
I was born in San Antonio, Texas, although I have lived in many different cities growing up, including Reno, Nevada, Kansas City, Missouri, and Tampa, Florida. My father is an Urban Planner and city development and design were always topics of discussion around my house. I spent my summers travelling extensively throughout the United States with my grandparents. I have seen many different cities change and develop throughout the United States in the past 30+ years. I went to college at the University of Florida to study Interior Design, but was converted to Art History & Criticism, which I eventually received my Bachelor's degree in. Afterwards, I went back to the College of Architecture, where I attended graduate school for Urban Design and Planning. Wanting to travel some more, I moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I worked for US Airways as a Flight Attendant. A few years later, I decided to move to Springfield in Jacksonville. My husband & I renovated our 1905 bunglaow in Historic Springfield. I took the training to become a Real Estate Appraiser. Then, I got my license in real estate. I started working for the boutique brokerage, Streetscape, specializing in Historic Neighborhoods. Streetscape was purchased by Lifestyles, Realtors and I worked for them for a year before moving to RE/MAX Specialists in Avondale. My unique background and experience renovating translates into extensive understanding, not only of historic homes and real estate transactions, but also of real estate development and investment. I have worked with homebuyers and sellers, investors, & renovators. My knowledge and experience can help you make the right decision where and when to buy. My intimate knowledge of the real estate transaction will make the process as smooth as possible, ensuring an on-time closing. If you are selling, I will work closely with you to ensure you understand the market you are in and price your home as competatively as possible to get it sold for the most the market will allow.

Lisa Simon
I aquired my love of architecture and historic homes and areas while growing up in New Orleans. After relocating to Jacksonville and moving to Springfield with my husband and 5 children, I immersed myself in the neighborhood. We purchased a condemned home in 2001 and proceeded to embark on a six year restoration. Along the way I became involved with SPAR (Springfield Preservation and Revitalization)where most recently I served as a board member. At present I am a commissioner on the Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Jacksonville.
Though I love historic homes, I specialize in new, infill construction and represent SRG Homes and Neighborhoods as their onsite agent. When it comes to realestate, I consider myself more a facilitator then a salesperson. I love conecting people with the perfect home and solving the problems that come along with that search.

Shawn McGuire
Shawn started out 1999 in Atlanta, carefully and lovingly restoring historic homes in Georgia's urban neighborhoods. After a back injury sidelined his restoration career, it was natural transition from renovating homes to selling them. In short order, Shawn was named Coldwell Banker Intown Atlanta's Rookie of the year, Diamond Society Award Winner, Presidential Circle Award Winner and Presidential Elite Award Winner. He was also ranked in the top 6% internationally within a pool of 10,000 agents. Accolades aside, Shawn found he truly loved real estate, especially helping people set and achieve their dreams and goals. He continued to move up managing $75,000,000+ properties for the Condo Store and even resuscitating a struggling real estate corporation. But moving up moved Shawn further from his original passion for finely crafted homes of the past—and from people who shared his fervor. After an exhaustive search, he decided Jacksonville was the place to find homes of the past and quality builders working on properties that he could get excited about. He now specializes and resides in Historic Springfield, a community on the rise. Living from the heart, learning from the past, Shawn has a clear vision of the future.

I am a Historic Home Nut! I have to blame this on my parents as I grew up in a home built in 1919 in the Riverside/Avondale neighborhood of Jacksonville. Every weekend my father was working on some project around the house - and that has led to this lifelong rehab obsession. My partner and I are currently rehabbing a 1912 American Venacular home in Historic Springfield and it has been an interesting proposition. Not only has this been the largest rehab - but also the toughest. With materials cost going through the roof, it has slowed the progress to a very slow pace. All in all though, it's been a rewarding experience to see this home brought back to it's former glory. We have also been rehabbing a beautiful 1908 Victorian style home and will be finished with it very soon. I think that is what I love the most about real estate, it the ability to connect people with the dream of owning a home. Not everyone wants to be in an old home - and that's cool with me. But knowing that you are helping someone find the place to call their own has been an extremely rewarding career for me!

Teresa Fresonke
Teresa grew up in the suburbs of Washington D.C. Although her childhood homes were always suburban neighborhood homes, she always longed to live in the historic row houses she saw when visiting downtown D.C. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations/Marketing, Teresa moved to Atlanta, GA where she found the city life she had always longed for. She reveled in all the historic homes close to the downtown area and eventually found herself renovating one and buying another. Her eight years in Atlanta taught her a lot about historic and urban homes. Once in Jacksonville, Teresa embarked headlong into Jacksonville real estate and became a multi-million dollar realtor from day one! Although her true passion is in the urban core, historic and downtown neighborhoods, Teresa is extremely familiar with all of Jacksonville and has sold many homes throughout the city. She is a matchmaker who uses her in-depth knowledge of Jacksonville to help buyers find their dreamboat neighborhood. Experience, expertise, not to mention absolutely fabulous negotiating skills, Teresa has what it takes to make your purchase or sale a success and to make you a happy camper — and homebuyer.

Crissie Cudd
I have a bad habit of being really passionate about things. When I was growing up, it was Nancy Drew and “The Man from UNCLE”. But one passion that began early and lasted to this day is history. Being around it, hearing about it, absorbing it, and now living in it, has made me a passionate cheerleader for Springfield. Maybe that enthusiasm will wane in twenty years or so, but for now I’m a diehard Springfield fanatic. My husband and daughter and I live on Hubbard with the urban, free range chickens next door, Big Jim as an alarm clock, and friendly people who stop to chat when we are working in the yard. Oh, yeah. I’m also the Manager of the Watson Realty Southside Office and we have now adopted Historic Springfield. We partnered with SRG and now offer full service real estate out of their model on West 3rd. With 20 years experience in real estate as an agent, trainer and manager, I bring real-world experience to the business of real estate. I am the author of numerous real estate articles and the book “Sell Your Home in a Tough Market – Now!” (available online through Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com). There are already some awesome Realtors in Springfield and I’m proud to be a part of that group. I’m doing everything I can to help other folks discover Springfield – Jacksonville’s best kept secret.
