Please help Need ash document...............

Postby goforbo » Wed Aug 31, 2011 7:46 pm

About a year ago when the Ash controversy was in full swing. I received a flyer on my door from the city about how they were going to handled things and digging two feet down etc, etc. I know a lot of things have changed but I still need a copy of that original Flyer.

I have looked everywhere. Doe's anyone out there have a copy of that flyer?

Thanks so much,

Bo

don't have the flyer. but some of this is on the city website:

http://www.coj.net/Departments/Environm ... tions.aspx

Q. What will happen during the cleanup?
A. Highly experienced companies who contract with the city will remove up to two feet of soil from the properties that have been tested and shown to contain ash. Then, the old soil will be replaced by clean soil that will be taken from a site that is certified as safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

If your property requires cleanup, a city contractor will prepare an individual plan especially for your site and will show it to you before any work begins.

If they tested your property, and there was no ash, there will be no need to clean up. Did your property test positive for ash?

Thanks Debbie and Movedsouth, but what I am trying to get a hold of is the actual flyer that was delivered. I received one and I know that I kept it but I will be darned if I can find it.

Did anyone else get one? If not can you ask your neighbors if they did?

It wasn't mailed it would have been dropped at your door like the city did with the flyers regarding the street paving.

It talked about digging down 2 feet and the cleanup process etc. And I think it even talked about sprinkler systems.

Thanks everyone.

Contact Project New Ground at 357-8077.

They distributed the flyers and should be able to provide a copy.
