Cleaning house this weekend? Shopping? Here are some additional/updated items that are needed:

EXTERIOR PAINT
5 gallon tub of exterior primer
lots of hand scrapers and paint brushes
small buckets to rinse brushes
paint rollers, trays
sand paper for sanders
ladders both step and extension
hammers, nails, replacement siding pieces, skil saw
extension cords
donations for 12+ window screens at $25/window
porch floor stain (concrete)
gallon of terracotta exterior trim (I may have/donate)

YARD
large yard waste trash bags
wheelbarrows?
mulch, stone pieces, bricks, pots, plants and greenery, other landscape items
(I would like not only the front of the house and porch greened up, but the CROW would be appreciated. Her front yard is tiny and she would be able to enjoy a landscaped crow from her porch)
lots of porch flowers/plants too
She expressed she used to have tomatoes, collard greens, etc.

PORCH
rocking chair, small table for Miss Maggie's porch
mailbox
exterior porch light
number sign

FOOD/SNACKS/WATER
Sharon said she would make sandwiches.
Several cases of water
Whole or cut fruit
Chips
Granola Bars, PB crackers, etc.

BYO
gloves, masks for painting/scraping
water and snacks and some to share if you are able (working to have lunch provided)
Yard tools i.e. shovel, rake, etc.

You can bring your donated items at 8 a.m. to Miss Maggie's house if you are volunteering your time to help.
If you are donating money, I can assign something specifically it will go to and purchase that, or you can purchase and donate.
You can drop off donated items or borrowed items to my house. PM me for the address and/or my phone number. If the item is a borrowed item, please label it so that I may return
Finally, so we look like a team, please wear a white, red, or black top.

Thanks so much.
Nicole

It takes a village to raise a child.

It takes a neighborhood to raise up a community.
We have done that.

There is grace in giving.

Thank you so much to the 50+ people who came out to work and preserve Miss Maggie's historic home.
Whether you stayed for a lot or whether you stayed for a few. Thank you.
Whether you donated materials, food, drink, or cash, thank you.

Had the rain held off, I know we would have finished right around the 4 p.m. mark. Volunteers worked THAT hard.

If you are down for the cause and can make it, see you tomorrow at:
8 a.m. to noon
