Speaking of appraisals...surely the city will assess our values lower due to this, right? Yes, that is sarcasm!
LOL Good one, since at the CPAC meeting the city consigliere said
"WE DID NOT KNOW THIS WOULD EFFECT PROPERTY VALUES !"
I bit my tongue when I heard that one and got my feet off the floor real fast. We were definitely in the brown layer then.

I read on this site that:
"The notes were added to the property record cards some time after July 20, 2009".
A month or two ago I called the property appraiser's office and asked when it was added to mine and the lady said "late July", but did not give an exact date.
So I have been assuming it was late July, but anything is possible.

My property got tested yesterday. I stood over the guys while they took soil samples and took note of everything. I followed them to their van and asked questions. They sat in there with the bags of (hazardous)sand all strewn around while they did a preliminary test for LEAD on sight. All along we have been told they were testing for ash. Why are all neighborhoods built before 1978 not being tested? I don't see how the results could be worth anything with testing being done in such a manner. They had 5 gallon buckets filled with dirty water that they were using to rinse off the digging tools.

rinsing off digging tools in dirty water????? then going to the next site and spreading any possible contaminate! This whole thing is so crooked I just can't stand it!!!! Thank you for bringing that to light Lisa. I think we should put this out in the public as much as possible, when the rest of the city sees how crooked this whole things is, then political pressure will force the issue along with the suit.
URGH! thank you for putting that out there LIsa

That's no better than a surgeon washing their hands/instruments in dirty water...where's the code of ethical business practice?!

After submitting my public records request to James Manning, and the Mayors Office, I have gotten back our sample sheet.
According to the sheet, we had no indication of Ash.

So it looks like the only way to get information about testing on our property is for a public information request to James Manning and the Mayors Office !.
Why is it Project New Ground will not release the information.
Did you send an email for that information ?

So why does your property require remediation??? Even if they found something else, it would not have come from incenerator ash and should not have anything to do with the superfund site.
